Badge Girl

Kennedy has worked hard for this day. She has been looking forward to it since last Thursday when it was announced that this week she would earn her badge. Today was Badge Day. Not just any ballet day. Badge Day. Kennedy's Badge Day.

She and three other girls were the special ballerinas in class. They were the ones called upon to answer the questions about ballet terms and positions. They lead the class in the dance exercises. And the best part of all ~ they each brought in a cd to do a free-style dance in which two or three other little ballerinas followed the lead dancer's steps and tried their best to mimic their moves for the one minute dance.

Here is Kennedy's Badge Dance:

Our lovely Badge Girl with her fabulous dance teacher, and of course the well-earned badge.

Beautiful..beautiful..beautiful!!! Papa and I loved it, Kennedy! I'm so sorry we missed it, but am really glad we can always watch this video when we want to see you. You did an excellent job of leading the other girls and I was especially impressed with the way you just got right up after you slipped and continued entertaining your audience! BRAVO!

Grammy
