More Egyptian Fun

Here are a few more projects that we have worked on while studying Ancient Egypt.1. Paper pyramids with facts about them on each of the four sides

2. Clay Sphinxes

3. Small scale mummies

The children also made King Khufu's Great Pyramid out of sugar cubes & frosting and set up a small scale version of its location in Giza.

Here's a closer look.

Another fun hands-on lesson. Did anybody try eating the pyramid? I am so glad that SOMEHOW you find time to document and share (not to mention faithfully prepare and energetically teach) lesson after lesson, Jen! God has greatly blessed your husband and children with YOU!
We love you!

WOW!! Very cool, Jen! I bet you are the most awesome homeschool teacher! It looks like you (and more importantly, the kids!) are having a blast! If I ever am blessed with kids, I hope to homeschool too :-)

Did you know I am (was) a teacher too? But not teaching any more (or maybe I should say, "currently"). Your blog is so nice! The family photo on the homepage is one of THE best family portraits I've ever seen! I love it!
